After School
Where Kids Excel After the Bell
At YMCA After School, kids expand their learning beyond the classroom. We use a balanced curriculum with opportunities for character development, STEM activities, arts and humanities, community service and physical activity. YMCA After School is a structured program with time for kids to start homework, engage in active fun and enjoy a snack with friends. Click HERE to view our downloadable After School Brochure for all of the information!
The YMCA’s After School Program Curriculum offers a variety of age-appropriate activities that balance opportunities for active play, learning and making friends. Our curriculum focuses on these areas:
- Homework Time
- Sports and Active Games
- Arts and Humanities
- Swimming
- Relationship and Achievement Building activities
- Reading

The YMCA’s After School starts at school dismissal and ends at 6 p.m. There is no After School on scheduled days off or snow days.
Each day we focus on a different subject and we will provide small lessons based off the curriculum the kids are learning at school:

The Davis Family YMCA can now accept families who use Jobs and Family Services. To use this for the Scholastic Support Program, families need to apply for child care through JFS. Please list “Davis Family YMCA” license number 106577, as your child care provider. Once the YMCA and the family receives a letter from JFS stating approval and what the copay is, the YMCA will be able to accommodate the copay.
