After School at the Y
Where Kids Excel After the Bell
At YMCA After School, kids expand their learning beyond the classroom. We use a balanced curriculum with opportunities for character development, STEM activities, arts and humanities, community service and physical activity. YMCA After School is a structured program with time for kids to start homework, engage in active fun and enjoy a snack with friends.
The YMCA’s After School Program Curriculum offers a variety of age-appropriate activities that balance opportunities for active play, learning and making friends. Our curriculum focuses on these areas:
- Homework Time
- Sports and Active Games
- Arts and Humanities
- Swimming
- Relationship and Achievement Building activities
- Reading
- Character Development
- Enrichment Activities
There is no After School on scheduled days off or snow days.
Our Daily Education Focus
Each day we focus on a different subject and we will provide small lessons based off the curriculum the kids are learning at school:
Mondays – Math
Tuesdays – Science
Wednesdays – History
Thursdays – Writing
Fridays – Theme Day

Pricing for Davis Family YMCA
Grades K through 6
Registration Fee: $30 non-refundable – Paperwork Included
Weekly: $75 members/ $80 non-members
*Additional child will receive $10 discount
4 Day Weeks: $65 members/ $70 non-members
*only for weeks that have predesignated holidays*
Monthly: $250 members/ $275 non-members
Financial Assistance Available! (Forms are at the service desk)
Transportation from Boardman and Poland Schools! Financial Assistance Available!
Davis Family After School Information
There are only 48 spots available in the class. In order to secure your child’s spot, The $30 Registration Fee MUST be paid and paperwork turned in prior to registering for any weeks or months of After School. If not registered within this time frame, a $15 late fee per child will apply. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Transportation to the YMCA is provided to students from Boardman Local School District and Poland Local School District. Students from other districts may attend but must provide their own transportation.

Central YMCA Schedule
