Boardman, Ohio (WYTV) Nikki Murray the youth and teen director at the Davis Center YMCA, was recently featured on WYTV ABC 33’s Hometown Hero segment. Murray was nominated by Jacqueline McGinnis who says Murray is “Energetic and fun, very caring for all of the kids that are in the program and even across the entire county. She wants to bring everybody together.”
Murray has been in her current role at the YMCA for seven years, however she has been working for the Y for the past 16 years. Nikki did the community day that was hosted at the Y, she works at the summer camps, and she also helps with the after-school programs and sports for children.
Nikki says that the children are the best part of her job, “I get to pretty much hang out with them all the time, come up with fun activities and do things for the community to help support them.”
Murray clearly loves her job and all the children she gets to work with on a daily basis. We can’t think of a more deserving member of our Y family. Congratulations, Nikki.
