ENROLL FOR CENTRAL YMCA DAY CAMP 2026
Step 1 Fill out the enrollment packet. We would prefer these to be submitted digitally. Physical packets are available at the front desk upon request. You will receive an invoice to your email within 3 business days. This balance must be paid within one week or your camper’s spot may be forfeited.
STOP! If you have not paid the enrollment fee and turned in your packet, you cannot register for weeks of camp. Please note there are only 80 spots available.
Step 2 Once your enrollment fee and packet have been turned in, register your camper for the appropriate weeks of camp.
A $50 deposit per camper per week is due at registration. All remaining camp fees are due 10 days prior to the start of the week you wish your camper to attend (Fridays at 5 PM). TANF families do not have to pay this deposit. Families receiving YMCA financial assistance at the Central YMCA are responsible only for the deposit amount based on their approved assistance award.
Step 3 Attend mandatory Central Day Camp Parent Orientation on Wednesday 5/27 from 6-7:30 PM and Thursday 5/28 from 10-11:30 AM. Medical care plan will be required for any children who require medication during camp hours and the forms will be available at the front desk and at Parent Orientation. If you are unable to attend on either of these dates, or are enrolling your camper after the start date, you must contact the Youth/Teen & Sports Director at 330-742-4793 or mbrown@youngstownymca.org.

Each day is carefully planned, so please drop off and pick up your camper at the scheduled time. We will travel to The Davis Family YMCA on Tuesdays and The Mill Creek Wick Recreation Area on Wednesdays. Thursdays will be field trip days. The pickup time on Thursdays is 4:30 Updates will be sent via BAND. In the event that you need to drop off your camper late, please contact the camp Coordinator.

Summer Day Camp at the YMCA of Youngstown
When school is out for the summer, the YMCA has all the activities you’ll need to keep your camper engaged, entertained, and combat summer learning loss while you work or go about your duties. Summer Day Camps offer swimming, crafts, gym games, field trips, and much more!
Day camp at the Y is led by experienced staff and offers nearly all the benefits of overnight camp – new outdoor experiences, skill-building and lasting friendships – in rural, urban and suburban settings, while allowing campers to return home each evening. We believe that the camp experience is transformational. YMCA camp gives kids the chance to make new friends, learn new skills and interact with nature. Our Summer Day Camp programs offer swim lessons, physical activities, arts and humanities, field trips, summer learning loss prevention, and so much more!

Summer Day Camp is designed for ages 6-13 and is held from 9 AM to 4 PM. We offer before and after care for a small fee for early drop-offs (7-9 AM and late pick-ups 4-6 PM).
In order to maintain an efficient and organized atmosphere, please note that weekly enrollment ends at the scheduled closing time of your applicable YMCA branch the Friday before the camp week. Please be aware that a LATE FEE of $20 is charged if you wait to enroll until after Friday night. ONLINE enrollment ENDS Friday night; weekend enrollment must be done at the Y (any applicable LATE FEES will be included).
Central Day Camp Parent Orientation
Families will meet the staff, learn about the camp in greater detail, take a tour of the facility and rooms we will utilize, get answers to all of their questions. Future campers are welcome to attend!
Fees
$25 (early drop off 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM, late pickup 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
$20 late fee if registration isn’t done by Friday before each week.
