Summer Day Camp at the YMCA of Youngstown

When school is out for the summer, the YMCA has all the activities you’ll need to keep your child engaged, entertained, and combat summer learning loss while you work or go about your duties. Summer Day Camps offer swimming, crafts, gym games, field trips, and much more!

Day camp at the Y is led by experienced staff and offers nearly all the benefits of overnight camp – new outdoor experiences, skill-building and lasting friendships – in rural, urban and suburban settings, while allowing campers to return home each afternoon. We believe that the camp experience is transformational. YMCA camp gives kids the chance to make new friends, learn new skills and interact with nature. Our Summer Day Camp programs offer swim lessons, cooking classes, physical activities, arts and humanities, field trips, summer learning loss prevention, and so much more!

SPECIAL EVENTS

Camp Fitch YMCA Polar Bear Plunge

Cost should never be the reason a child cannot attend Camp Fitch YMCA. To turn that mission into reality, Camp Fitch has hosted their annual Polar Bear Plunge for the last 15 years! Staff, alumni, campers, and anyone else who wants to join the cause jump into the icy waters of Lake Erie with the same purpose: to give the life-changing opportunity of camp to kids who would otherwise be unable to afford. All are welcome to join the fun (without any pressure to jump in Lake Erie)! We will have food, games, and raffles for everyone to participate in.

Davis Family YMCA Golf Outing

The Davis Family YMCA is committed to strengthening the foundations of our community. For 13 years we have hosted the annual golf outing, raising funds to ensure that YMCA programs and membership opportunities are accessible for all, regardless of financial means. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or trying it for the first time, this event is a hole-in-one for fun, fellowship, and community impact! Swing by for a day of golf, great company, and the chance to support the charitable work of the YMCA of Youngstown.

Central YMCA Gala

Join us for the First Annual Central Gala, where we’ll come together to celebrate the impact we’re making in our community. The theme for this year’s event, A Better Future Starts with You, will highlight the YMCA’s ongoing mission to strengthen our community through programs that promote healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility. The event will take place on September 25, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maronite Center. Please wear your semi-formal evening attire that reflects the elegance of the occasion and the spirit of connection we nurture at the Y. This is a chance to make a lasting difference while enjoying an evening filled with hope, impact, and inspiration. We look forward to sharing this experience with you!
