SAUNA – WOMEN’s LOCKER ROOM

The sauna unit in the women’s locker room at Central is toast. The entire unit has to be replaced and an exact replacement isn’t possible since that particular unit is no longer made. With some careful evaluation, specs for a replacement unit have been identified and a new unit is on order at a cost of about $2000.  We should have an update on the ETA within the coming days and will post when we know more.

UPDATE – May 1, 2026

Some wiring issues and misinformation from the manufacturer has delayed the start up of the unit. We thought we had it ready to go, but the updated design created a couple headaches we were unprepared for. Should not be long now that we’ve figured out the problem.

UPDATE – April 7, 2026

Just received word that the new unit will be delivered on Thursday, April 10. We’ll have it installed as early as possible the following week.

Camp Fitch YMCA Polar Bear Plunge

Cost should never be the reason a child cannot attend Camp Fitch YMCA. To turn that mission into reality, Camp Fitch has hosted their annual Polar Bear Plunge for the last 15 years! Staff, alumni, campers, and anyone else who wants to join the cause jump into the icy waters of Lake Erie with the same purpose: to give the life-changing opportunity of camp to kids who would otherwise be unable to afford. All are welcome to join the fun (without any pressure to jump in Lake Erie)! We will have food, games, and raffles for everyone to participate in.

Davis Family YMCA Golf Outing

The Davis Family YMCA is committed to strengthening the foundations of our community. For 13 years we have hosted the annual golf outing, raising funds to ensure that YMCA programs and membership opportunities are accessible for all, regardless of financial means. Central YMCA Gala

Join us for the First Annual Central Gala, where we’ll come together to celebrate the impact we’re making in our community.
