The YMCA of Youngstown has partnered with Mahoning County Department of Job and Family Services for a grant agreement. Eligible Mahoning County families (200% of Federal Poverty Level for households with students K-12, and non-custodial parents with students K-12) can participate in the following YMCA programs from October 1, 2021-September 30, 2022, at no cost to families once the YMCA Youth Development Program Application has been approved.
Qualifying programs are located at the Central YMCA in Youngstown, Davis Family YMCA in Boardman, and Camp Fitch YMCA located in North Springfield, Pa. Programs include classes, sports leagues, college career planning, swim team, and lifeguard training, summer and educational camps, along with many other valuable programs to benefit children and families in the community.
“The Y knows how important a grant like this can be for families in our community”, says COO Beth Scheller, “kids having access to these valuable programs can make a meaningful impact on their futures.”
Applications must be completed in full to be processed, and approval must be received from ODJFS.
