After School at the Central Y
Where Kids Excel After the Bell
At YMCA After School, kids expand their learning beyond the classroom. We use a balanced curriculum with opportunities for character development, STEM activities, arts and humanities, community service and physical activity. YMCA After School is a structured program with time for kids to start homework, engage in active fun and enjoy a snack with friends.
The YMCA’s After School Program Curriculum offers a variety of age-appropriate activities that balance opportunities for active play, learning and making friends. Our curriculum focuses on these areas:
- Homework Time
- Sports and Active Games
- Arts and Humanities
- Swimming
- Relationship and Achievement Building activities
- Reading
- Character Development
- Enrichment Activities
The YMCA’s After School starts at school dismissal and ends at 6 p.m. There is no After School on scheduled days off or snow days.

** Students can bring their own snack, but one will be provided.
***Swimming will only take place on Tuesdays
Central YMCA After School Information
There are only 30 spots available in the program. In order to secure your child’s spot, registration must be completed by the week or month (depending on payment options) prior to the first day of After School. If not registered within this time frame, a $15 late fee per child will apply. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Students from other districts may attend but must provide their own transportation.

Weekly: $70 members / $75 non-members
*Additional child will receive $10 discount
4-day: $60 members /$65 non-members
*Only for weeks that have predesignated holidays
Monthly: $235 members / $260 non-members
